Shirley MacLaine – 87

Shirley Maclaine might be 87 years old already, but her filming days are not over yet. The star, who began liking acting upon learning ballet, has joined the industry in the early 1950s. Her first film, The Trouble with Harry, in 1955 gave the actress her first Golden Globe Award. Since then, Shirley has become one of the staples on the big screen. Shirley’s most memorable films are The Apartment in 1960, The Turning Point in 1977, and Being There in 1979 – all of which led to her nomination in several award-giving bodies. Shirley was in the casting credits of several blockbuster films such as Steel Magnolias, Terms of Endearment, Valentine’s Day, and The Little Mermaid.

Other than her stellar performances, the celebrity was known for being courageous and standing up for herself. As such, she made it to law textbooks for her famous lawsuit against a production company for bridging employment contract. Likewise, Shirley established herself as a tough woman when she confronted the columnist who belittled her in an article. Today, Shirley is the same person she was before – tough, talented, and achiever.
