MICKEY ROURKE – 68

Mickey Rourke is best remembered for being one of the macho actors in Hollywood, thanks to his career in boxing. He set his goals to take on professional boxing when he was young but eventually found himself acting after taking a break from the sport due to injuries. Although Rourke first launched as an alluring male lead, he was able to break through the stereotype when he was cast in Barfly and Year of the Dragon. With Rourke’s passion and intention to regain his boxing career, his acting career suffers to a degree as it is usually put on hold as he turns down big projects.

Despite his hurdles in juggling two careers, he was able to win several awards and nominations for his acting career, specifically in the award-winning film The Wrestler. As of today, Rourke is still active and made a few TV appearances. His last commercially successful film was in The Expendables and Sin City: A Dame For Kill.
