HUGH HEFNER

As someone whose net worth was in the millions, Hugh Hefner did not hesitate in purchasing a luxurious mansion, and he probably didn’t need some home loans at all! His estate is one of the most iconic properties in the US, mainly because of Hefner’s popularity and, of course, due to the house’s beauty and massive size.

Hefner bought the 22,000-square-foot California mansion back in 1971. This estate was originally built in 1927 in Holmby Hills, and it’s one of America’s most prestigious neighborhoods since celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, and Walt Disney once lived here. Hefner’s property features a wine cellar with a secret passage, a built-in pipe organ, a bathhouse, a swimming pool, and a licensed zoo with peacocks, flamingos, monkeys, and a few real bunnies. In late 2016, the property was sold for $100 million to businessman and investor Daren Metropoulos.
