97 is such a remarkable age for an individual, yet Bob Barker handles it with energy and joy. Bob had plenty of health issues in the past, considering his age, but he never seemed to give in. In fact, the retired TV game show host is still as active now as he was on the days he hosted CBS’ The Price is Right. Of course, we all know TPIR as the longest-running daytime game show in all of Northern America’s television history. In addition, Bob also hosted the show Truth or Consequences— a show which ran from 1956 to 1975.

A good investment is when people take a chance in an actor, and that is what happened with Bob and his earlier producers. They took a risk because they saw something special in the aspiring TV show host. They never gave up on Bob and his potential to entertain. Given the turnout of the star’s decades-long career, they don’t seem to have a single regret!
