ED ASNER – 91
The former president of the Screen Actors Guild, Ed Asner, is a prominent voice artist and actor. He became famous during the ’70s and ’80s for his role as Lou Grant both in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series, Lou Grant. Ed became the most honorable male performer in Primetime Emmy Awards history, where he won seven awards from them. Asner served the United States Army Signal Corps and featured in plays that toured Army camps.
Following his military service, Ed helped established the Playwrights Theatre Company using his investment money. For some reason, he left the members to pursue something in New York. He appeared in the Broadway revival of Threepenny Opera, and since then, he went to debut on TV. His television debut was the film Studio One. Ed is now 91 years old but still feels tireless in the industry. Ed has an upcoming movie this year, and fans are excited already!
